DESCRIPTION:
                                                FAN SECTION:

HOUSING: Stainless Steel grade 304, 18g, wet and dry sections. Special Hat Sections formed into cabinet bottom to assure maximum blower/motor support.  

ACCESS PANEL: Full height removable panel to provide access to fan housing and discharge side of wet section.  Removable top on wet section for access and pad replacement.

BLOWER: Industrial grade blowers, FC, DWDI in horizontal (rear) discharge mode.

MOTOR: Heavy Duty, Industrial grade, Open face, drip proof sized to meet system requirements.

WET SECTION:

COOLING MEDIA: Glacier-Cor , or equal, 12" thick , cellulose fiber pad with transverse flutes of 45 and 15 degrees. Highest efficiency available at 90% SE at 500 feet per minute velocity.   Media is supported by a full width stainless channel with punched holes on a staggered pattern  to assure minimum of 50% support of the media.  A stainless plate extends from the bottom of the media into the water to prevent air bypass under the media.

WATER DISTRIBUTION:  Pump recirculating system with metering valve and bleed off line on pressure side of pump.  Water is delivered to PVC schedule 40 header pipe.  The water is discharged upwards against a stainless steel water deflector which re-directs the water back evenly onto the full width of the media.

ELECTRICAL CONTROLS:

ELECTRICAL CONTROLS:  Consist of a fused disconnect with manual off/on switch.  The controls consist of  Magnetic starter with thermal overload strips and pump contactor.  Remote controls (thermostat or manual switching) are available.  All Controls are optional.

Note:  All temperatures are degrees Fahrenheit.  RH% = Percent Relative Humidity.  Temp Drop is Dry bulb temperature drop across the cooling media.  Discharge Temp is degrees (f) as measured immediately behind the discharge side of the media.     

Evaporative cooling is effective anytime there is a web bulb depression (difference between dry bulb and wet bulb temperatures).  In fact, "dry bulb temperature reduction due to the evaporation of water always results in lower effective temperature regardless of relative humidity level" (1995 ASHRAE handbook, chapter 47, Evaporative cooling)
